Try not to damage plastic case and cover. Use a special instrument or a plastic card to detach the latches. Using a screwdriver in this case is unacceptable. After taking off the back cover you need to unscrew the screws fixing the battery take it off, exchange it for a new battery, screw the screws back and assemble the e-book. Then check its operability in the reading mode and charging mode.
