The wires of the battery of Pocketbook 614 Basic 2 are soldered to the main board. You have to unsolder both contacts with the help of the solderer in order to detach it.
Try to isolate at least one of the wires in order not to short-circuit the battery. Even old and discharged battery can flame up when the wires are short-circuited.
Then you need to take off an old battery, exchange it for the new one and solder back plus and minus wires (the main thing is not to mix up the polarity or your e-reader will "die").
